The innovations continue: MAGNEZIX® now also available in the form of a pin

In 2013, we brought the world's first implant for osteosynthesis onto the market that is metallic and stable, but at the same time, can be resorbed in a controlled fashion by the body, and transformed into the body's own tissue: the MAGNEZIX® CS. Since then, this innovative product has been sold more than 22,000 times, and the implants have proven themselves internationally with positive results throughout, in standard operations carried out in clinics world-wide. And since July 2016, MAGNEZIX® has also been available as a pin. Particularly beneficial features of our implant are the osteogenic as well as infection-inhibiting properties of the magnesium (over 90 %) contained in our MAGNEZIX® implants. Various studies and case studies verify the clinical comparability and/or superiority of these implants compared to conventional titanium implants.

Patients prefer MAGNEZIX® because no metal remains behind in the body, and the implants are also outstandingly suitable for patients suffering from allergies. Satisfaction is high, and everyone recommends the use of  MAGNEZIX® without any reservations. Surgeons benefit from the flexibility offered by the implants: because they are bioresorbable and transformed into the body's own tissue, they can be easily overdrilled later on if necessary and/or an implant can be positioned in the direct vicinity. Because MAGNEZIX® implants are packaged separately in sterile packages, they can be used directly "out of the box". 

This summer, we successfully launched the new MAGNEZIX® Pin onto the market with the first clinical application.

In addition to the aforementioned properties, users are unanimously and particularly delighted by the outstanding stability of the MAGNEZIX® Pin, which is up to five times stronger when compared to similar PLA/PGA implants.
