Syntellix wins cdgw Future Prize
Syntellix AG and HappyMed (medical video glasses, Vienna) were awarded the Future Prize of the Club of the Health Industry (cdgw) in Berlin on Thursday, 10.11.2016, for their innovative medical products.
13 projects in all made it onto the shortlist in the final round. The "jury" consisted of around 100 club members and guests, and they each had one vote at the voting session to choose the winners of the prize worth € 10,000.00 at the Berlin International Club. For the first time in the 10-year history of the prize, there were joint winners: the Viennese start-up HappyMed, as well as Syntellix, both gained the same number of votes, and therefore share the prize money as double winners in 2016.
The cdgw Future Prize has the objective of providing a forum for revolutionary innovations (projects or products) from all sectors of the health industry, and therefore raise awareness of them amongst a high class circle of experts from hospitals, industry, media and services.
The cdgw presiding committee decides in advance which companies can enter the competition on the basis of the submitted abstracts. Criteria for awarding the prize include the following in particular:
- Originality
- Creativity
- Network character
- Practicability
- Patient benefits
- Social relevance
- Cost efficiency
At the awards evening, each final participant is allowed five minutes for their final presentation - the last chance to convince the audience.
At the end, and in a very short period of time, Professor Kirchner successfully got across to the voting guests the special benefits of MAGNEZIX® (stability, resorbability, osteoconductivity and infection-inhibition).
We are delighted to have won this award.
